    no, no, no, it actually wont let you have a file greater in size than 2 gigs on fat16, 4 gigs on fat32 and there is no limit that i am aware of on ntfs filesystems.....the compression and decompression does not matter.....the actual size of the iso does tho....

    your hdd partitions and size dont matter with knoppix. you run it off a cd/dvd. thats what i was saying as long and the exe software isnt bigger than 2 gb you should be good.

    well the statement still does not make senes, as the point of my statement was in reference to iso files, not already burnt cd's......and yeah, filesize still does matter, or rather, amount of ram matters.....swap partition always helps tho.....or the ability to create one on a dos (fat16 or 32) filesystem, which one or two live cd's ive tried had....
