Beginner help??

Hello people...
I have been getting interested in coding and hacking type of things but I really dont know how to get that experience that would somehow make me learn more. I have a book that teaches C++ for gaming use but i want to learn more for like making different programs and stuff like that. So i was wondering if someone could give me a link to somewhere with a beginner type project if that makes since at all.

P.S
I have a friend ,if you can call him that, stole my iPod and sold it for weed. Pissed me off because well it was my iPod and also wondering if anyone knew some type of virus or hack that i can make him suffer a bit. sounds mean but I am getting tired of his i can do what i want attitude.

Now as for your help its harder to find here but the tutorial section has some good things if you sort through the shit. Best place to go for help and learning resources is hackserver.org.
