    i honestly would be fine with a 30GB HDD

    i have alot of shit, i have the 30gig as a primary since its high speed, its meant for gaming, i cant think of the numbers right now, i just woke up

    i thought the 300gig i have a a secondayry would be good for gaming since i have big games. but i hvnt used as much as i thought i would.

    Why would a small hard drive improve gaming?

    If anything you'd want a big one to fit all the games and still have space left over for it to run fast.

    because the needle does not have as far to travel in a smaller HDD, but you can get larger ones with 7200 RPM which wont even make a difference

    I guess that makes sense...

    It would be better to have a big one though if you download the games. Otherwise you'd end up only being able to play like 1 game.

    Typical situation is to have a very very fast primary that you have the OS and a few core programs on, then a slower secondary dedicated to storage.

    I do this on my desktop. I have a 7200RPM 320Gb as my primary, and a 5400RPM 500Gb as my secondary. I'd really like to get a 10KRPM WD Raptor (300Gb):

    probably for all the things he downloads. Like movies, games, programs, etc

    If i saved everything i ever downloaded i'd fill quite a few gigs too. Instead I just keep the stuff I really really like
