House/Business/Property Pranks.

there are security cameras where I work which target the area I want to prank. I have a feeling they are fake, but is there any way to find out for sure ? There is a cable wire running into the ceiling as well as some other wires. There is no security room that I know of, but there could be a tape or link to the HQ. I'm thinking about just butting some tape over the lense from beneath it, but does anyone have any suggestions?

Spray paint the lens. Cut the wire. Point lights at it.

Yeah, just get some garden shears and cut the wires. Although I saw on "Burn Notice" they make a laser from a blu-ray dvd player and shine it in the camera and it disables it. Or something like that...I dunno. Just cut the wire, it's easier.

well, actually it was a regular dvd player. I think. I don't exactly know how he made it, or what he made it out of, but I'm certain it was in one way or another with a dvd player of sorts.

no no for me to go and buy a blue ray dvd player at one of the local electronics stores i'm lookin at least $700.
it might have something to do with being an Australian

(this is unrealistic), BUT you could take a picture right in front of the camera lens with one of those old cameras that spits out little square ones right when you take it , then tape it in front of the lense to make the camera aim at a picture of exactly waht it sees so the video wont show anywthing different, then after you do the pranking pull down the pictures and all your work will be there to see without the evidence
