do not follow any of those directions in the sites listed above they are from the anarchist cookbook(book) and most likely outdated or wrong, also that potassium nitrate one you mentioned is by jolly roger which is one of the most unreliable sources

That's not what I meant.

In most reactions NO3 is a spectator ion meaning it doesn't really do anything in the reaction. Same with Na.

You'll learn that when you take chemistry.

as people said before it can be boiled off with fermented urine, i've never heard of adding crap into the mixture but i have heard that adding cinnamon and sulpher to it helps, not really sure why scientifically you should add them, but people do.

potasium and sodium are are very reactive as they are alkaloid metals, they will react on their own in water aswell as many other compounds. as K and Na gain +1 ionic charge once reacted and NO3 get a -1 charge they are easily compatable. i study organic chemistry but havnt delt with KNO3 (yet). jolly rogers way seem plausable so im goin 2 try as soon as i get some K2CO3. a tip for anyone after NH4NO3, find someone who works in a salt supplies factory, just say its for the garden. also if u know an industrial chemist things are easy to obtain
