My mates told me that you can make napalm by mixing dish soap with petrol and you can get a HUGUEE explosion.
is that true?

Me and some mates built a rocket kart the other day.
Was pretty cool. We cast all the parts from aluminium fired in my furnace and we used simple rocket candy fuel. We used a main booster of 100mm Steel about 75cm in length (pretty huge booster). No idea how fast it went, but the acceleration was mind blowing.

We're going to build another one next weekend and drag race them at night.
The intensity from the rocket is so intense that it lights up everywhere.

So I'm building a gun.

For the moment its just a proof of concept.

Ammunition is too hard to come buy here, so I've made my own "cartirdges". They are simply thin Al tubes with granulated blackpowder and a lead ball glued to one end, the other end is just a cover of tissue paper.

Now, because I don't have primers, the powder is ignited by a red-hot loop of wire attached to the front of the bolt.

The wire punctures the paper, ignites the powder and away the ammo goes.

The bolt is spring action, you pull it back, it locks into place, and when you pull the trigger the bolt flies forward, igniting the powder, and at the same time sealing off the back of the gun from the exploding gases.

The question IS:

How does a real gun work to get a good seal? The ammo if firing quite nicely, but I keep getting blowback. The seal between the barrel and the bolt isn't enough.

Fuse Factory.

This is mainly for firetime, and the people who know 2 shits about anything.

I just finished building my fuse making machine, and churned out 2km (.8miles or so) of high quality waterproof blackmatch in around an hour. This should be enough to last the rest of the year.

How do you guys make fuse, or can you guys just buy visco from shops over in america?
