tho, pot should be legal, by all means, i just ...hmmm..it would make it so much easier to convince my girlfriend to do lsd (she wants to, but she's afraid of a bad trip...oddly, we share the sentiment that lsd is the only drug that's really worth wasting money on), if it was legal, and encouraged by doctors (as, we all know, it would be if it was legal....timothy leary was a doctor...--SPEAKING OF! new episode of fringe! fuck you guys, im gonna go watch that.)

i hereby postulate that Kurt Cobain was in fact aborted. it stands to reason that this must as well hold true, if Kurt Cobain was in fact murdered, as, as any nutjob christian, or politician up for re-election can confirm, abortion is murder.

i've no idea how an aborted fetus did so much fucking tar, but that's irrelevant.

alright....

big problem in computer security, you're always asking about it, and im sick of hearing shit, so yay, you get a nice big tutorial

ok, to start, there are a lot of different types of keyloggers, so im not gonna get into that, if you wanna know, look into them...but there are two primary types of keylogger, which i will be mentioning; one is hardware, the other is software.

a hardware keylogger...well, it's pretty easy to spot most of the time, just a little attachment to the keyboard cord....

BUT while they're easy to spot (unless the person has it modded into the keyboard itself or the card/motherboard), they're annoying as fuck to manage....basically, if you type a shitload of seemingly random characters at random points while you're on, it'll take the person quite a while to determine what your pass is, assuming you use a seemingly
random pass....

now there's software....they come in a lot of varieties...some only record keystrokes, some record everything imaginable....some hide themselves as other things in task manager, others dont show up in task manager at all....it's all up to how it's made....you can find software keyloggers all over the place....a lot of spyware programmes have embedded keyloggers, and some virus/malware scanners will pick up many different types of keylogger.....

now short of writing an encryption algorithm, and applying it to a hardware keylogger, which you carry with you everywhere and works on any type of keyboard, and a flash drive with all your vital programmes on it, such that when you type, it encrypts what you type, and it's all then decrypted by the programme before saving/sending over the interwebs (and with some programmes, it'll store the packet, which would then be traced, so you'd have to have that encrypted as well--ssh tunneling is are yay), how can you avoid keyloggers?

you've got a couple options...

option one...get yourself an alternative task manager (ex: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/s.../bb896653.aspx ) and get paranoid...really paranoid....kill anything suspicious, look up anything that doesnt seem like it should be there...keep an eye on what runs on your pc regularly, and if you see anything else running when you're on a different computer, be suspicious.....but look it up before you kill it, you never know what someone's gonna have running that's harmless, and you dont wanna fuck up company computers and such (MIGHT wanna make a portable version of process manager instead of installing it in the situation where you're on someone else's computer)

option two...the one i like most =)....get a linux live cd, or install linux to a flash drive, or anything like that (i'd go for flash drive if available, and backtrack works well for that =)....you'll be pretty much protected as long as it's a software keylogger, as no software that's actually installed on the computer would be running.

reason i suggest backtrack is because of this:

no matter what you do, if you're on a network, what you send over that network is available to anyone who's looking...if it's your home network, secure it as much as you can in your router, and encrypt everything you can that you send....bt has a lot of tools for network (in)security, =)

if you MUST use a computer that's not yours, which you cannot use outside programmes of any sort (example being company computers that dont have usb drives or cd drives (VERY rare that that happens...hell, the cash registers at the bar/restaurant i used to work at had usb 2.0 slots), be paranoid... avoid entering anything that could be used against you, and if you do, enter it wrong a couple times, or pad it so that it just looks like you're typing a message to someone....there
really isnt much you can do in that situation, so just try to avoid it...

anyone who asks where to get a keylogger is gettin bitchslapped. look around, software is easy to find. and you're installing something malicious in nature, so why's it matter to you if it has a virus in it?

OH something else to mention....process explorer will show what files are being accessed by what program, which is useful for when the keylogger is logging to a file, as you would see the file it's logging to and examine that file yourself.

watch your network, watch what you do, be paranoid if you really care about what you're hiding.

alright, since im in an unusually good mood today, im gonna try something, this is what:

since you all seem to crave knowledge so much, lets try this once....you all submit ideas, by way of posts on this thread, nothing but ideas, in a few days, ill take the ideas and make a poll out of them, which you then vote on...essentially, you pick a topic, submit it, and if enough people like it, ill spend whatever time i need studying up on it and making sure of facts and post an article/essay thingie on it......

other members may try to do topics as well in my place if they want, and can add to the things.....if you chose to take over for me, tell me what you're doing, and ill offer my help as much as you want and make sure i dont do anything involving the same thing

1)posts asking how to do something must be in the questions forum
1.a)these questions must be specific, and on already found solutions
1.b)these questions mustnt involve simple mmorpg pass hacks, there are too many ways to do this, and it's worthless to post about it, google and a bit of logical deduction has any info you could possibly need

2)posts about simplistic things like getting onto a windows system as an administrator will not be tolerated(note, i do not mean you cannot post about having problems with getting into a system, this is not a difficulty for me to tolerate, i simply mean that you should not post asking "how do i get back onto my side, my father locked me out", i will tolerate someone asking "ive tried to log in as the main administrator account by safe mode, and other thigns (showing other things you have tried, there are many), and can anyone help me figure out why these dont work/offer another way")also, note, that i do not specifically mean windows, i mean anything, windows is just an easy example

3)myspace hacking(or other shitty social websites) threads will not be tolerated, with the exception of showing examples of how someone has done it before, and suggesting possible ways to do it

4)double posts, and worthless posts will be merged or deleted, im sick of it, i wont tolerate it...that means posts like "ok... yeah...okay"i will delete that post....it annoys me greatly, it's pointless, it offers nothing to the discussion, you could simply ask questions, or say thank you, i will tolerate thankyou and success rates, this is fine, but ok, yeah okay, is not a worthwile post, STOP IT

void--it's used to add/change information

alert--it's used to display messages/values of variables/values of certain javascript built in protocals

of course, they're not all javascript can do....they're just the most important ones for our purposes

alright, the most used javascript built in protocal is document.cookie, so i figure ill go over that first

type into your browser's address bar:

javascript:alert(document.cookie)

it will (should) tell you the contents of your cookies for this site....now you may think that's worthless, but what if you were on a site, and you had a cookie that said *****_authorized=no, you would think: hmm...i want to be the *****, that would be cool, wouldnt you;

with javascript; we can do this (this site is insecure if that's the way the validate their admins, so they deserve it)

try typing into your browser:

javascript:alert(document.cookie);void(document.co okie="*****_authorized=yes");alert(document.cookie )

the alert at the end should now show you that *****_authorized=yes

well, with acknowledgment that there is probably few on this site that can help me, here's the problem:

well, i did some updating to graphics drivers the other day on my ubuntu partition, and once i finished, everything seemed to work, then i ran the file i needed to to start a few addons i had added, and that didnt work, so i exited it, and restarted cuz the troubleshooting section in the install guide said to do that....then it ran fine, and i was screwin around trying to figure out all the special features it added, like the ability to switch between windows with ctrl+alt+left or right, and i was seein what it had added, so i pressed ctrl+alt+backspace, and the thing exited X, which is the main graphics driver, and then it wouldnt load, so i did some work on reversing everything i did, (i still had terminal and all my live cd's), and i got it working again, only now, it wont load the panel with everything, and it doesnt even try to load it on startup.....if i could load it, i know exactly how to fix it, but i cant load it, so i ask you, is there a way to edit the files that start when you start ubuntu without actually being in ubuntu?

and does anyone know how to reverse this massive error.....

(i think i need to do some research on what i did when i ran the other program, so i will be looking at that at first, but i hope someone on here can be of some help....)

alright, about a month ago, i came up with an idea, i thought it was brilliant...

the idea was to make a potato cannon with a twist: i was making it out of a pen, and i was ensuring that no part of the pen was damaged (complete portability, it would still be a working pen, no cop would think of thinking it was a deadly weapon).....on my first attempt, around a month ago, i accidentally broke the pen in half (it was a piece of shit)...today i found another pen which i thought would withstand the abuse i would have to do to it....and it came apart, and the barrel of it had a smaller part at the end to ensure the flame doesnt just go around the projectile...it was perfect...so i started to cut a touch hole in it (the only thing i would need would be a touch hole, all the other holes, and the cap were already there...hence the perfection).....so i cut the touch hole, (i didnt actually expect the touch hole to work right, thought i would accidentally cut too big of a hole...aparently i didnt...)....now i just needed a projectile...i thought one of the little airsoft gun bullets would be a great starter, so i got one of them.....

Of course, last month my brother was here, and he uses axe deodorant, i was going to use that as a fuel for it...now he is at some diagnosis center to figure out what meds he needs, and he took his axe with him...i dont have any fuckin fuel to test it with!!!!!!! i tried hairspray, but it wouldnt vaporize...(non arosol, no pressure in the can, comes out as a liquid)

so my brilliant idea (atleast in my eyes) which is essentially a zip gun but less dangerous, and reusable will have to wait until i get some sort of propellant...damn it!!!! .....or maybe i should use lighter fluid from my lighter...i think i might do that....

whell, i almost lit the pen on fire....(if i hadnt noticed that it was burning, i wouldnt have a pen anymore....)....so lighter fluid wont work....
