This is in Response to the "Fuck Ramen noodles" thread. Ramen noodles are cheap as shit and delicious too when cooked correctly. This thread is for college students, bachelors, and crackheads, and anyone else who lives off cheap ass food. Anyone who has cooking tips for regular old 10-15 cents a bag Ramen noodles post your recipes here. You can use other cheap foods and any spices you want in your recipes but don't add like real shrimp or chopped up steak or something like that, just cheap stuff like tuna, hot dogs, bologna, mac and cheese, shit like that. I'll start off with three of my favorites.

Prison cooking 101 AKA Gourmet Ramen

Crackhead Casserole

Step 1
cook 2 packets chicken Ramen noodles, drain

Step 2
Mix 1 can tuna fish with mayo and 1 packet of chicken flavoring salt from Ramen noodles.

Step 3
Mix the tuna fish fish mixture with the Ramen noodles.

Step 4 (optional)
mix in 1/2 can of peas, corn, or any canned vegetable pretty much.



Spicy Ramen dinner

Step 1
Cook two packets any flavor ramen noodles - drain

Step 2
Mix 2 tablespoon butter with noodles and one package of seasoning mix

Step 3
hot sauce to flavor


Creamy Ramen dinner

Step 1
cook two packets creamy chicken flavor Ramen noodles - drain

Step 2
mix seasoning packets with small amount of ***ted butter and milk until it makes a relatively thick creamy mixture.

Step 3
mix creamy mixture with noodles.










Pizza Noodles

Cook noodles

mix 1 packet seasoning in spaghetti sauce

mix with noodles

cook sausage, slice peperoni mix with sauce

mix aauce with noodles

cover with mozzerella cheese and microwave for one minute

Egg Drop

Ingredients:

1-3 packs Chicken of Ramen (flavors are your choice but I prefer chicken or beef)
2 Cups Water Per Pack of noodles
Soy Sauce
2 Large Eggs (3-4 if your are making more noodles)
Salt (optional)
Any other seasonings you can think of (ex. chives, spices, etc.)

Tools/Cookware:

One medium sized Pot/saucepan (judge sizing based upon how much soup you will make TAKE BOILING INTO ACCOUNT)
Bowl and Wisk (I usually substitute a plastic cup and fork)
Pasta Strainer (depending on how soupy you want your Egg Drop

Instructions!

Get your pot and fill it with your water, (remember 2 cups per pack of ramen). I use Ramen Brand Ramen and that's what my recipe calls for. BE SURE TO CHECK THE PACKAGE as not all Ramen is exactly the same.

Turn your stove to HIGH and set the water to boil, you can add two pinches of salt at this point to speed up the boiling process and/or cover the pot to speed the process.

Now when your water is at a rolling boil CAREFULLY! (I can't stress this enough) drop your square(s) of ramen into the Pot. Be sure to remove the seasoning packet first. Cook the noodles for 2-3 minutes or until tender and separated.

While the noodles are cooking your going to want to get your two eggs and crack them into your bowl/cup. Then get your whisk/fork and whisk the eggs until they are beaten to a solid yellow (like scrambled eggs).

When you begin to reach the 2-3 minute mark, get your bowl/cup of beaten eggs and steady it above the pot. Then get a fork or your whisk and as you poor the eggs into the pot lightly shake the whisk/fork back and forth disrupting the flow of egg so that you don't get one giant glob of egg in your soup, but rather many little globs.

When the eggs are in and the noodles are cooked turn the stove down to a good simmer and grab your spices/chives/soy sauce/ramen flavoring. Mix these in to your liking.

Once your ramen is cooked put your strainer in the sink and depending on how much "soup" broth you like in your Egg Drop strain your noodles to your liking. I like a little bit of broth to drink at the end of eating so I don't strain the whole thing.

Put it all in a bowl and EAT IT!


Ramen Sandwich

Open the top of the bag, about 2 inches.

Fill with warm water, not hot, you can't have hot water in jail

Count to 100

Drain water and extract the 2 slabs of ramen.

Pour the flavor ontop of 1 slab

Put the other slab ontop, like it's bread
