"I mean in the grand scale of things, we're insignificant. If I were to strangle you right now, and I'm not saying I ever would, but for the sake of an example, nobody would really care. Past a social level we're just another pair of people without names.

So anything that happens in your life, really, sadly enough, past a social level, doesn't matter to anybody else. Every single day, I live out a pointless existence, being alive every second of it, and nobody cares.

Nobody stops and thinks for even a second that I'm in control of the situation as much as they are. That I could do something unexpected, something crazy. Something that would change everything and make people care.

Because I could.

But I don't.

Because things are simple that way.

I don't because I don't.

Things are the way they are because they just are.

And anything that ever happens is insignificant, because you sat there and let it happen. Because everyone else sat there and let it happen.

Now do you understand the way I feel?

And what does that matter? I guess what I'm trying to say is that it's pointless to live life like anybody else has any more influence than you do.

Because it's all or nothing. Any second you could die, simply because somebody had a whim.

So acting like you actually care about what anybody else ever fucking says isn't even living. It's standing there taking it. It's not my place to judge. Or hell, it can be if you want it to. You have as much control as I do.

So say whatever you want, do whatever you want, and feel however you want because the only other option is to go sit in a corner and disappear quietly."

So I just dropped the bombshell on a friend. What does ACB think about this?

Just a short random story I wrote one day while feeling rather Omnipresent.
Enjoy.

"Hehehe.." A small laugh quickly followed by coughing came from a sitting dead man in the corner of the room..

In response a resounding "Bang" echoed through the building.

Three houses away a family begged for their lives whilst confronted by three German soldiers. Roughly translated they would have been trying to compromise with the soldiers, and grab their prized belonging and leave.

No.

Bang.

Soldiers found any excuse to kill, and dispose of..
Too young, too old, injured. If they didn't it meant effort spent on dragging these lowlifes with them to the concentration camp.

Private Robert Tuller hugged his Gewehr 41 automatic rifle close, watching wide eyed at the carnage around him.

His superior gave out an order for him to kill the family in the house next to them, and loot the house for any potential items of value.

Tuller struggled to walk over to the house, and opened the door to find a mother clasping her young daughter close, tears streaming down their faces.
She frantically began to talk, in an attempt at dissuading the German soldier.

Tuller was a simple man.. He liked pleasantry, and disliked violence..
This wasn't his thing, yet he found himself staring at the lifeless bodies of a mother and her daughter, loading his spare bullets into the damned gun.

His fear of his superiors was a powerful weapon in their hands..

He took several steps forward, hearing the floorboards creek under his standard issue boots.

As he entered a small corridor, he heard sounds echoing between the walls coming from behind him.
As he swiveled around though, his rifle was caught between the small space between the walls around him, unable to turn end over end, he was only able to watch as the civilian stabbed a knife into his chest, tears dropping from his face, for the violence that was happening all around.

Tuller collapsed to the ground as he felt his chest.
The knife had gone through his rips, and straight into his heart, nicking a lung on the way.

Short of breath, and bleeding profusely from his wound, Tuller was afraid. Afraid of the looming death, and what would happen to him.
He had sinned. He had just murdered a mother and daughter in cold blood.

Everything slowly grew brighter, and Tuller struggled to see, making out the shape of his killer running past and then over him in the tight hallway..

Then everything slowed down.. Things stopped moving.. Sounds, and feeling slowed to a low buzz, and Tuller found complete peace in this home.

Tuller would never see a video tape, as they would not exist for another 68 years, but if he had, he would notice the similarities to what was happening now, and the sight of rewinding a video and watching it go backwards.

His body rose, and the knife fell out of him. He traced his steps back to the door with precision, and two bullets flew back into the barrel of his rifle.

he felt the hard dirt under his boots once more, and then finally found himself back in the building with his lieutenant.

"Go hit up the houses next door, and take anything of value, Tuller" The man harked.

Tuller stared at him with intent.

"No."

Bang.

Who agrees?
Not looking for an argument.

Have you guys heard of a sight called Last.fm?
You sign up for an account, and download a program that logs whatever you play on your iTunes or Windows media player, and sends the information to Last.Fm.

The website then displays this information, and you use your musical tastes as the criteria for a social networking website of sorts.

When viewing others profiles, it shows you their music compatibly.
The program even takes listens from your iPod..

Okay, so if any of you have heard of this game, or play, my username is [Ember] (Creative I know..)

Rakion is a first person ***ee battle game featuring 5 classes.

Swordsman - an all around basic fighter.
Blacksmith - Slow power-house class.
Ninja - Fast but weak grip and special attack class.
Archer - Range attack class.
Mage - Teamwork/ problem solving class.

The game completely centers on PvP, and really doesn't have any story mode.

When one gets 6 kills, they fill up a "Chaos" meter, and begin to glow blue.
By pressing C your character transforms into an "alter-ego" of sorts, and gains a new attack set, which is much more powerful. Hence the name "Chaos force"

You enter gaming rooms, and fight with a first person battle system where it's "Wasd" controls to move, and left/right clicking on the mouse to attack.

Softnyx the producer is a Korean software company, and has pretty lulzy Engrish.
They've also fucked the game up beyond recognition by adding in so many "cash user" benefits said users are worse than any hacker could ever be.

Like any game, they have a "members" or "cash" section, where you pay for in game money, and buy special "Power user" items.

It;s complete bullshit.

The game has a lot more depth than I can explain further, but it's really worth a try if your bored.

The PvP is a lot of fun, when you find nice, level-headed people, featuring in game chat rooms, and buddy messenger system.

Don't forget to put [Ember] as your referrer's name if you sign up.

Oh, and P.S. I hack the fuck out of this game because I can.

Okay, so in the soup in the fountain thread HigherThanBirds posted that he would go with food coloring, for desecration of said fountain..

In the town I live in, we have a outdoor community pool.

So here's the plan:
1. Buy food coloring.
2. Pour in pool.
3. Enjoy the red pool.

My only questions are:

How will the chlorine in the pool mix with food coloring?
*                                And
I obviously don't know the pools dimensions, but it's not very big, mid-sized at best, and isn't very deep. What amount of food coloring would be best?
