To counter this you can block all connections to Adobes registration servers by adding a few lines to your HOSTS file found at
C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc
for Vista users
(I believe its the same in XP)

These lines added anywhere in the list of servers in your HOSTS file will block all connection to adobe's registration servers allowing you to use the CS4 products with Keygens

127.0.0.1 activate.adobe.com
127.0.0.1 practivate.adobe.com
127.0.0.1 ereg.adobe.com
127.0.0.1 activate.wip3.adobe.com
127.0.0.1 wip3.adobe.com
127.0.0.1 3dns-3.adobe.com
127.0.0.1 3dns-2.adobe.com
127.0.0.1 adobe-dns.adobe.com
127.0.0.1 adobe-dns-2.adobe.com
127.0.0.1 adobe-dns-3.adobe.com

I have tested this method and have been using CS4 for several months now
