World of Warcraft: Installer + Free Server setup guide

Got bored and decided to upload the World of Warcraft installer + private server guide.
Not a virus, You have my word [I hate viruses and malware]. This doesn't ask for a key. The client itself will update when new updates/patches come out.

Running this will download, then install the original World of Warcraft game, and then the newest expansion and patches. Somewhere in the install process it will ask you if you just want "World of Warcraft, Burning Crusade, or Wrath of the Lich King" from a drop-down menu. Select "Wrath of the Lich King" because that is the newest expansion.

Run the actual WoW client when it's completed and it will run the newest patches [version 3.2.2].

Free Server Setup Guide
Very simple to set up!

You will still have to pay for regular Blizzard servers even if you didn't buy a copy of the game, but you can edit the realmlist and play the full [non-trial] game for free. Here is how:

1.) Go online and search for a private server [which supports WOW, version 3.2.2]
2.) Register so you can sign in on their free "private" server.
3.) Go to the WoW realmlist [found in C:\Users\Public\Games\World of Warcraft\Data\enUS ].
4.) Open the file "realmlist.wtf" with notepad and it will show the original Blizzard realmlist, with the retail [paid-for] servers.
It should look like this:

Edit it to add the other free servers

For example
The free servers I use are changed to look like this in the realmlist file:

Google for different ones, if you'd like. There is a lot of different ones you can sign up for.
All private servers have a different "realmlist URL" that you have to change it to, and all of them have different leveling and drop rates. Gameplay just depends on which server you use.

World of Warcraft is coming out with a new expansion.

I'm not a huge "WoW" fan but admittedly I get on it once in a while.
Here is for the actual World of Warcraft players that haven't heard yet.

There is a new expansion coming out called "Cataclysm".

Not only does this introduce new area and two new playable characters, the look and feel is going to be completely updated. Meaning graphic and texture files, so it will look much better.

The two new races that are being added with this expansion;

On top of that, now there is a new class matching system where certain races can have more options to select between different classes.

Now don't get all pissed because you happen to not like World of Warcraft and I posted something about it, it's just a game-news update for anyone who is interested.

So far I don't see an exact release date, but it is in 2010 for sure, somewhere around the summer time [maybe mid-summer].

When you think of Linux...

How come people who don't use Linux think that it is an old operating system from before the 90s that doesn't have a desktop, like the old 80s DOS Terminal operating systems?

Every article I see about it, everyone that has never used it believes you can't so much as open the disk tray when you have Linux installed and can't run, applications, or think it's only for "95 computers" etc.

I'm curious, what drives people to even think this, especially without knowing very much about it??

Also notice the Frames Per Second [FPS] in the top left corner- notice how they change with the different effects.

Open them in multiple tabs and just flip through them, you'll notice a huge difference.
But like I said, don't base them off of these pictures alone because they aren't the best examples, admittedly.

DNA computing

The human genome is about 3,120,000,000 DNA base pairs long, so half of that is in each spermatozoa. That gives us 1,560,000,000 base pairs in a single sperm cell.

Each of those base pairs can be a A-T bond or a G-C bond, and can be aligned in either direction. That means there's 4 ways it can be aligned, and that can be represented in two bits; 00 = G, 01 = C, 10 = A, and 11 = T, for example.

Now, the average dude lets out between 50 and 500 million sperm with each go. Rough average says that it'd probably be about 200 million, right? If we take all this information and combine it with the wonders of mathematics, we have 1.560*10^9 * 2 bits * 2.00*10^8. Do all the equational shit, and we have 6.24*10^17 bits transmitted in a single burst.

That's 78,000 terabytes, in what amounts to half-minute-at-most event.

We could fit a digitized copy of the Library of Congress into your spooge. It'd only take about 20 terabytes.

So your dick has a higher bandwidth than any internet connection that ever existed, and is ever likely to exist anytime soon. Now, imagine a machine that used your saltshaker to surf the internet.

Windows 7 early release (against Google Chrome OS)

Anyone else heard about this yet??
Apparently Microsoft is planning to release the official (non-beta) version early and "slash price in war against Google Chrome" due to Google Chrome OS's new plans.
According to some sources, it is supposed to be out about three months earlier, or, like this following link says, before the end of this summer.

So many batch threads... It's getting really old.
There isn't really any PHP threads so here is what I came up with in hope that it will spark up something kind of new.

Post any PHP based programs, web-pages, or whatever else in PHP.

I start with this terribly basic page just for the sake of starting.
I was pretty much just being dumb when I did this.
This was my very first PHP based code and was also created in less than 10 minutes out of boredom so it's expected to be lame and basic.

It used to be uploaded and saved to a remote host so you could view it as a regular webpage link, but I deleted it from there so you will have to view attachments and download it to use it.
