I'm vaguely interested in the idea of napalm thin enough to paint with, but not interested enough to find out on my own exactly how. Any suggestions?
Furthermore, I imagine that the solution would benefit from having its explosive coefficient somehow raised due to its thinner consistency, but I really dunno what stable compounds react well to actual immersion in, for want of a better word, liquid. Or how that would affect the end result.

Circular Logic Revisited

Since the first philosophical debates and discussions, circular logic has stood among the greatest enemies of rational discourse and thought-out reasoning. What cheery, spiteful antagonist has not asked about the stone God cannot lift, the edge of the universe, the nature of infinity? And who among us has not wearily scoffed at these (apparently) pointless questions, dismissing them as our predecessors did in derision and anger? The unfortunate truth of these situations is that circular logic remains an initially obvious dead end, and one capable of killing many a friendly discussion. Thus, such questions, statements and arguments are discarded without fail as intellectually ennervating, and remain unexamined to a surprising extreme.

However, when one chooses to delve beyond the glassy surface of so-called “unknowable” concepts such as infinity, it becomes apparent that, in fact, there may truly be more to know. For example, I’m sure my enlightened forum compatriots are all aware that reality is what you make it, but who among you has looked further, who has attempted to figure out exactly WHAT THAT MEANS!? When you attack the austere barriers of the supposedly unknowable, your mind is always challenged, often dissappointed, and sometimes rewarded. It is these mental challenges that shape our philosophy, and these paradoxes that broaden our minds.
Let us keep forever the principle of an open mind, no matter how absurd and useless the argument may seem; that we may truly advance ourselves for it, or at least enjoy the exercise.

I had an idea for a game a while ago, and I'm full of myself so I figured I'd unload it on you guys.

First, some conceptual background.
The idea of wireless power (power distributed like internet, from some router or antenna) is not new, but recently it has been reevaluated by MIT and seems to have significant potential to appear sometime in the next century. The use of this technology in the game (set a few years in the future) is key.

Sometime in the mid-to-late 21st century, the player is a veteran city police sergeant in a large metropolis that has recently seen a major upswing in drug trafficking and gang activity, largely arising from the arrival of a gang which uses armed drones and exoskeletons to enforce their power.

The exoskeletons are stumpy and inefficient, more like a wearable robot than a suit of armor, and they're powered by a 5-ton UHaul stacked full of lead-acid truck batteries with a broadcasting array on top. Each one has a powerful machine gun mounted on one "arm" and a pneumatic ram mounted on the other.
Despite the crudity of their construction, they are very powerful, and their only critical weakness is an absolute need to be within a block of the broadcasting truck.

At any rate, the player is occupied with fighting the gang for a while, all the time requesting more information and support from the federal government. The government mysteriously stonewalls all requests, and after a while the player discovers that a corrupt agency has been supporting the gang from the beginning, planning to use their eventual takeover of the city as an excuse to declare martial law across the country.

After that, the plot doesn't really need explanation.

I thought that the strategy of defeating the exoskeletons would make for particularly interesting gameplay, what with the decision whether to go after the truck or a specific exoskeleton who, hypothetically, is heading for some important generator or person or other shit.

Also, an interesting boss battle would be one where you infiltrate some headquarters, but the alarm is raised and as you try to escape, you run into this guy in a 30 foot high exoskeleton with a fuckin 18 wheeler of batteries behind him.

At any rate, feel free to flame if you hate the idea, make suggestions if you're neutral or compliment if you like it.

I know I'm not actually in this group, but I figured that as the most "enlightened" of our community you guys might enjoy reflecting on this:

Almost all of us can see, s***l, touch, taste and hear the world around us, and we fancy that we can generate a relatively complete picture of what's going on by means of our sophisticated senses. However, if you think about it, the picture we have is fully and completely restricted by our sensory organs; even with all our technology of microscopes, audiotechs and scanners of every kind, the output of those devices reaches only our eyes and ears, which remain the same with all their flaws.

As such, this concept provides a question that has dogged me for a long time: What does the world actually look like? Every animal sees it differently, but how does it exist? The keyboard I'm typing on is, for most practical purposes, white. A dog may see it differently, another human may even see it differently, but what does it really look like? Indeed, the world is our own, created by our eyes and ears and minds. If we could step away from these imperfect human senses, what would we see?

This thread is very similar to the zombie apocalypse thread, with a few variations.
Let's say your country is being invaded by
a: for americans, China
b: for everyone else, America (fuck yeah)
and you form a local militia to fight the invaders (yeah I know its implausible, blow me)

How will you fight, how will you train, what will you do?

If it was me, I would start out by heading for the Pine Barrens, because the Jersey coastline is easier to resupply with blockade runners than central PA. I would construct a massive honeycomb of tunnels as a base (a la Vietnam) and get my water from the Barrens aquifer. My first major project would be to sneak back across the Delaware river and man the decrepit ocean liner SS United States to ram any Chinese transports still in the harbor.

Salutations, ACB. I've been a member for a couple weeks, but I only thought to post on this ridiculous forum in the throes of severe boredom. Regarding me, I'm either from that planet some bearded guy created a couple thousand years ago because he wanted to, or I'm from the planet where all those two-legged things keep running around multiplying and wiping their asses with the ecosystem. I'm a sarcastic, incredibly cynical, extre***y lazy 16-year-old atheist with a stunning lack of ethics in the traditional sense. As you may be able to tell, I'm opinionated, and arguments with me will either die slowly or be broken up by a mod; arguing is what I do, and I'm good at it. Fell free to challenge me to an argument now and then; I like dueling other good debaters, but if your position is liberal I will have trouble playing the devil's advocate.

Happy irritation,
