Used as a chlorine donor (colored flame enhancer) and fuel and as a binder in some rocket propellants. Solvent is methylene chloride.

i heard you can also wrap regular fuse( like visco, or home made black match) with tape, aluminum foil, ect to get the same effect, the tape in my perspective works, diffrent tapes=diffrent burn times, (tightly wound electrical tape, or waterproof metal tape wraped aroung the fuse make for a ok time fuse)... so all in all, if you start with good BP, you should get good blackmatch

it all depends on your BP, blackmatch is just two to three thin cotton strings, pulled through a slurry of BP and a binder. quick match is just taking that Blackmatch, and surronding it with brown craft paper. sounds hard? not realy, useing a dowel rod a little thicker than the diamiter of you black match, roll 1-3ft sections of paper ( glueing the seams with a very tiny bit of hot glue) after a few sections have been made( or all your sections have beeen made) start sliping your black match into the paper sleeve(you may want to glue each end of the paper sleave to the next one). now you have quickmatch, when quickmatch is lit, it pushes hot gasses throughout the paper tube, and ignights it quickly.

SRS should be bought, but you should be able to get away with useing dextrin. also one pound go's along way, most formulas i know of use less than 20g, most less than 10g( mor than 10g effects the burn rate)

by the way, hows you ball mill going?
