I found that in many social circles, people rarely make Jewish jokes, and using the words Muslim and terrorist in the same sentence is tabuu.

To be honest, that may not be true EVERYWHERE. It certainly isn't here in SC. People pretty much make all jokes equally around here, though very frequently.

Christianity is like any religion. Certain people feel more strongly about it and tend to put it out there, much to others' displeasure. Unfortunately, Christianity tends to attract a lot of those type of, people, mainly because of how many christians there are worldwide. Also, a lot of 'cult' Christians were pretty much bred to do nothing but go out and spread their religion.

Around where I live very few people poke fun at Christianity as a religion, or really any other faith for that matter. Maybe I just live in a better educated area.

Just because I'm Christian doesn't mean I eat up everything I'm told. Most (if not all) educated Christians belive in evolution and that the earth is far older than the bible suggests. We don't belive that we are superior, we belive that we have a different way of following the same God as everyone else. And while I will admit that Christians try to convert everyone, try to remember that it's just what we do. My point in posting this thread was to show how steryoetypes lead to racism and intolerance. I just think that people shouldn't be alienated for expressing a point of view. Finally, for all of you who belive that religion is BS, humans have evolved as social creatures and seek organization in groups of ppl like themselves. It doesn't realy matter if there is a God (my opinion is irrevelnt) people have an internal urge to belive in a greater power.
