Scams

Any cons out there that have any good scams i might not know about? To get the thread started here is an example called 'The struggling musician'

This is a two person scam with a variable payout that can go up to 5,000 dollars if played well. One person will play the role of 'Struggling Musician' and the other person will play the role of 'Eccentric Collector'.
The struggling musician walks into a restaurant (preferable somewhere with young, yuppy college kids as they are easier to fool) and finds after his meal that he cannot pay the bill. As collateral, he offers up his instrument (violins and flutes work best, do not try this with guitars or bass') while he goes to fetch his wallet. A few minutes after he leaves the eccentric collector walks in, and notices with some excitement the instrument. He asks to see the instrument, clearly impressed with either its brand and muttering about 'such good condition' or something of the like. After a few minutes of examination he approaches the restaurant worker holding the instrument, offering to pay them an exorbitant amount of money (think tens of thousands of dollars) for said instrument.
When he discovers it cannot be sold he leaves his card with a fake phone number or the number of a prepaid cellphone on the counter, asking to be called when the instrument is available or the instrument's owner shows up.
A few minutes again after he has left the struggling musician is back with about half the necessary money for the meal, apologizing profusely. He then offers to sell the instrument (aim for 1/10th the price of what eccentric collector offers and go no lower than 1/20th) to the worker of the restaurant.
The mark will buy thinking that he has just scored a deal, when really all he has bought is a really crappy flute/violin and now the cons are a couple hundred to a thousand dollars richer.

What could go wrong: If the mark actually offers to sell the instrument to the eccentric collector immediately, then cue the entrance of the struggling musician. The three of them find themselves in a bind, which is when the struggling musician offers to sell the instrument to the restaurant worker who can in turn sell it to the eccentric collector. Once the restaurant worker has bought the instrument, the eccentric collector then goes to get his money, never coming back.

Well, this isn't quite as elaborate as yours, nor does it gain that much money butttt, it's a scam so I guess I'll fill you in!

So me and two of my friends like to smoke, alot. So what we do is, give younger kids our number (middle school, first years of high school), and we tell them to call us if they need buds. They call us maybe twice a day, all different kids though. But they don't know what good bud is, so we charge 'em $30 ($15 for gas, and $15 for "headies"). We get 3gs, give them a g, and we have a dub to ourselves almost twice a day 5 days a week.
