What kind of glass cutter? The ones I saw on ebay were all like exacto knives with a diamond tip. It should be fairly easy to cut with that. Just make sure you have a suction cup to grab the glass after you cut it.

Probably the best bit of advice.

A lot of alarm companies are including 'glass break detectors' in standard packages these days. These devices basically constantly scan for a distinct frequency emitted by breaking glass. So, that's another caveat to be aware of. I'm not sure if cutting and removing glass violates that frequency or not.
