this reminds me of a robbery in france, where 3 men dug a tunnel through the sewers, using electricity from street lanterns to power their tools. when they were done digging the tunnel they got in at night, grabbed the money and got out of the country. that's the perfect crime, since nobody suffers. the money is insured so only the insurance company loses money, but that's their job, kinda.

if you are smart enough to take something in grand fashion and truly get away with it then you are totally justified in doing so.

after all, if the people guarding it were smarter they would have not let it happen right?

i agree this was a great idea.. but... to the few of you calling him a genius, i disagree. This just sounds like one of those conversations u would here at a bar full of guys.. someone says "whats the best way to rob a bank" and everyone starts bouncing ideas off each other. This might not have even been this guys idea.

No.. what makes this story special to me is that the guy had the nutz to do it. I dont think i have it in me to try something like that, but this guy did. I say hats off to him for having the courage to give it a try. I cant even imagine how much of an adrenaline rush that gave him. wow.

Was it justified? i guess no one really knows because we dont know his situation. I have done plenty of stealing in my life, and I regret all of it. I wouldnt do it. Now, If I had a family to support and had no job or money, well, i just dont know. anything is possible i guess

So I say: If he is using the money to feed his kids then he deserves it in my opinion. You have to do what you have to do for your kids. But if he is a single guy with a job and just has nothing to do with his time but be stupid and rob a bank, well I say 'fuck him'
