3D program

Could I have some opinions of best 3d programs? Money is no object either.

That's a very vague phrase '3d programs'. Are you looking for a 3d rendering engine like Source or the Unreal Engine? CAD software? 3D graphics design?

Source or Unreal if you want a rendering engine.
AutoCAD or Google Sketchup for CAD.
Blender for 3D graphics design.

What set's CAD apart from a 3D graphics design program? Would it be the engineering aspect? Also, I've heard something about Maya, does anybody have experience with that?

Hey, how about you go check out Bryce 6?
I love it so far, but I've cycled through trials, just to be sure I like it before I extend to hack it... I don't pay for anything. Lol.

Yeah, I use blender, and I'm decent at it, I just feel that some things are better done in 3DS max. I had maya cracked on my old computer, it was so hard, I had to change so many things to prevent it from showing up as pirated.

Ok, I don't think using someone's KeyGen or using a crack counts as hacking, you're just using someone's computer prowess to make yourself look good.

On topic:
I like to use AutoCAD. We use it in my Engineering III class for creating 3D renders of projects we make; desks, cannons, Ruben's Tubes, go-karts, etc.

I think every year I was in Engineering/Drafting we used different software. First AutoCAD, then some PoS called SolidEdge, then another PoS called SolidWorks, then Revit. Of all of them I liked Revit the most, but I see Google Sketchup as a really neat 'rapid development' tool.
