Drop two or three cigarette butts in a quart of warm water, let sit overnight, strain, and spray the plants completely. Repeat after six days. Supposedly the butts contain nicotine sulfate, which kills any bug--mite, aphid, you name it. Several of Cecil's devoted readers swear by this method

no, just get lady bugs. they work wonders. and they are pretty.

what do you use if you are growing outside ? usually its hard to get bugs when you grow inside as long as you dont use random soil and actually go out and buy some good stuff

I got lucky in a few ways

my parents are freaks of gardening so they always have this expensive potting soil and a ton of plant food...The dont care if I'm gowing it either since I told em its just for me and my friends.

I have 4 plants in seperate planters they are all in the same high quality soil I water them with this water/plant food mix and there is some plant food in and on top of the soil

I dont have bugs on em I was just trying to get some info in the event that bugs do attach themselves to my babys
