I read somewhere that you plant the seeds with the tip up, but it looks like the root is splitting the seed starting at the tip. Anyone know what to do?

the way weed grows is the root grows first then after that the plant starts branching up and the white thing is obviously a root you should have some sort of basic understanding of plants

It doesnt matter which way the root is after germinating, It will always grow down.

Well the reason I asked is because It looks as if the tip of the root is bursting all down the side, starting at the tip. Didn't think plants would be able to tell where sunlight is before it's a seedling. thanks a lot
