I actually have a hypothesis for it. And of course this is for you to debate me on because i don't actually know.

Cocaine causes all kinds of nasal issues, bleeds, etc. My theory is that the cocaine ate through the back of his nasal/esophagul (sp?) membranes (of course not the correct terms but i think you know what i mean) to where it would have exposed his brain as the brain is most easily accessed through there. (assumed after thoughts of egyptian mummification.) my thoughts then are that it is actually a combination of engorged brain matter and basically snot that leaked out of his nasal cavity. Which could be the actual cause of death, rather than just extremely high blood cocaine content which would could have done a number of things to his heart all of which resulting in a heart stopping. it could also be a combination of these two things that killed him. if one didn't kill him the other did, he happened to have both perhaps.

this would also make sense if he were to be standing up or sitting down when he was using the cocaine, because if he met that threshold at which point the cocaine successfully penetrated the blood brain barrier and by being up right, gravity would have caused said mucus, brain matter to leak down through said nasal cavity. of course he would have lost consciousness almost immediately - or i would hope, i would it imagine this experience to be rather painful - and then death.

of course this is only my deduction through what anatomical knowledge i have and what the ball shit looks like it could be in the picture. Also, knowledge of his long term cocaine use which leads to deviated septums, etc. Also, this theory seems to coincide with the presence of blood around his face and nose.

I think that we would see more evidence of damage of the nose lining from the outside if his habit was THAT bad. Swelling, inflamation that sort of thing. I think it's something from his stomach. Also it looks like he took a bad fall and smacked his head a good one
