well Amon Amarth don't like being called Viking Metal because they're not,they're whats called black metal. Anyway heres a site with a shitton of black metal bands plus death metal ones...

I also have a metal buff friend who posts on www.massimmolation.net he might be able to help you find even more underground black/thrash/power metal bands. He seems to like more finnish metal than anything though.

they're technically swedish death metal but arguing about genres and sub genres is one of the most nit picking assine things you can do.......

as for finnish bands i can only think of finntroll........and their lyrics are in swedish.


and alucard is right, kreator is german thrash........i don't even think they do any songs about vikings but they kick ass.

and whitechapel those are mostly harcdore bands.....good shit too, but nothing to do with vikings and shit.



lol i bitch about putting bands in genres in the beginning of the post then proceed in doing it for the rest of the fucking post..........
