That's the thing though... It would be a computer, not a gaming system.
Plus it's not in direct support for those things, and it's not meant to do that. If it was, it would just be another brand name desktop PC; which, compared to a regular PC would pretty much suck seeing as how it's only got 512 MB of RAM where PCs now days have to have at least 1 or 2 GB.
Also, with console, you can't substitute your hardware. There are some exceptions, like getting a hard drive, but you can only get product-matching hardware. If you tweak it, take the case of and replace some hardware and install a non-native OS on it, then it is a desktop computer... Then it is no longer the original gaming system.

If that's the case, and you wanted to do that, just get a PC where it has direct support and is MADE to be able to do all of those things.

I don't think I have a favorite.
We have: N64; SNES; Wii; Xbox360; PS2

They're all pretty solid systems (though I'm sure a lot of people could argue against the Wii. With it you can play GC games which means you can play Wind Waker which is such a solid game. Also, the new Mario Kart is beautiful. And Twilight Princess. Still not an amazing system though)

I guess I play N64 the most, followed by the 360 (which has so many amazing titles) and PS2 (same can be said... more can be said of this platform's game selection than of the 360). SNES is classic.

I don't really know. I guess the 64.

linux works real well on ps3/ you can download windows on ps3 but its real sloow/ linux is really ps3 friendly works fast, get a keyboard and it's basically a second advanced computer with bluray, web, everything.

so take your xbox and do this to it.

You know, it's funny you mention that. I was thinking about doing this with my PS3 but I would need to back up my game-saves so I don't lose them when I install Linux... In other words I never got around to it because I have no external.

But if you put Linux on your PS3, you can stream your games on your PC to your PS3. So you could play PC games on your big TV with no extra hook-ups or anything.
You don't have to re-wire or anything, it actually plays on your PS3 through your connection.
So, you could play WoW, Diablo, etc. [whatever your gaming preference] or even Halo on your PS3.
Not personally a fan of Halo but it's just an interesting fact, that you can stream games to your PS3- you need the Yellowdog Linux to do it.

Pretty cool though, huh?

Nice link BTW. Good thing Google Chrome prevents continuous pop-ups like that so I had no problem closing it.
