Second for the most powerful handgun we are talking ammunition and barrel length.

And what purpose you need it for.

most powerfull is not everything... and the desert eagle in what the .50 AE? or chambered in something else?

the Five seveN can pierce armour better than the M1911 because of the cat***** which is 5.7x28mm.

but there are reasons special forces dont use insanely large calibers because they really are not that great... something like a browing HP or sig p226 is much better and more realistic for actual using.

They sit on ammo that isn't overkill like the 9mm, which kinda extends your clip life and the recoil isn't going to affect you.
