Pad Locks

I know a little about lock picking, I can open most pad locks that require a key. But I was wondering if there is a way to open those pad locks with the combination numbers on the bottom? I can provide more detail if needed.

try youtube. i remember a tut on there showing how to decode combination locks. Did you try shimming it? IF you dont know what shimming is google it. And when worst comes to worse just use a bolt cutter or a hammer.

This is the type of Combination lock.

Should this be in the hacking section?

Well if you have the time (and you would need a lot) you could try every possible number combination.

Based on the fact that most master locks are pieces of shit and almost all have shitty springbars (higher security ones being the exception) and can be shimmed. A shim can be made out of coke cans. Here is a tut

it depends on the actual locking mechanism. Shimming works on most older padlocks and some newer ones. Its based on the fact that to unlock these locks a bar which is pressed upon by a spring is pushed back letting the shackle loose thus unlocking it. The shim just pushes the bar back.

Now a days though most locks aren't shimmable but master locks are normally shit and I can shim a lot of them, but its a crapshoot though. Easier to just pick 'em or break 'em.
