I am a volunteer at the plant I work at, and I mostly deal with hazmat, but we do have the occasional fire, which is a relief from the regular. I don't get paid any extra, and I am not part of the local fire department. I am also part of the EMT crew, but we don't get called very often, it's been 128 days since our last accident.

No but they will never walk again. Their leg got caught under the dash, we rolled the dash back and joint was shattered in her knee and it pretty much came apart on us. I need new gloves now.

im not anything. im going to college to get a degree in firefighting. i just finished my 36 hours a few weeks ago. so i could be a volunteer. in order to get paid in ohio you need to be certified with at least a 120 (its called that b/c of the hrs of training) . then you will get another 120hrs of training for a total of 240. some of the requirements are changing at the beginning of the year. not sure what they are yet.

I don't care who fights fires. If they do fight fires though, they deserve a little respect. Being a firefighter has to be one of the hardest things some people put themselves through. People usually are to pussy to do a thing like that, anyone that walks into a fucking structure fire is a fucking brave son of a bitch.
