How can you say that? The thought of the atom bomb, of such small size producing a massive explosion all caused from the chain reaction of one atom.

Since the outcome is unpredictable, you are in no place to say this is impossible.

Well, I have to disagree yet again, and put forth an explanation once again. Have you ever heard of a "Solar Flare?" If you have then apparently you have no concept of the massive energy released by these solar anomalies. A Solar flare is what is produced when the Sun suddenly releases a massive amount of magnetic energy. The amount of energy released is the equivalent of millions of 100-megaton hydrogen bombs exploding at the same time; This energy is ten million times greater than the energy released from a volcanic explosion. On the other hand, it is less than one-tenth of the total energy emitted by the Sun every second, so do you still think a mere particle accelerator could produce anywhere near this much energy?

I think you misread what I wrote. I asked how you knew that this couldn't be true. I didn't say I thought it was. I am pretty certain it wont. My point is that it may be possible.

I may have misconstrued your question, but I did however manage to thoroughly explain how highly improbable and illogical it is for a particle accelerator, regardless of how advanced it is, to be produce anywhere near that much energy. However, there will be a time, or so I believe, when the scientific community will unlock the secrets to harnessing such power, but until then harnessing such immense power is vastly out of our reach.
