The Black Plague: A Compelling Arguement.
I do not take credit for this, however i don't remember the name of the book, nor the author. The book was written by a wiccan and was a history of "witchcraft oppression"
for those who don't know:
Black Plague, was one of the most deadly pandemics in human history. It probably began in Central Asia and spread to Europe by the late 1340s. The total number of deaths worldwide from the pandemic is estimated at 75 million people; there were an estimated 20 to 30 million deaths in Europe. The Black Death is estimated to have killed between one-third and two-thirds of Europe's population.
that's straight from wikipedia. this isn't:
During this time period, Catholics were up in arms with superstitions regarding black cats and other such animals being witches in disguise.
they started to get extreme, and the church began a mass genocide of almost all cats in Europe.
Rats are thought to have brought the plague from Asia, to Europe.
Its not hard to connect the dots, now.
No cats to control rat population, and the infested rats become out of control.
The plague is then spread all over europe at frightening speeds and with nothing stopping the carriers.
thus, because the catholics killed the cats, the cats did not kill the rats.
the catholics are at fault for the black plague. QED
its part of history so i put it in politics. So what if you disagree. Sue me.
