Unfortunately, yes. According to experts we are entering a recession. The value of the Dollar is going down, meaning the price of goods and services will go up. You may not notice it as chains like Walmart and Target continue to have relatively low prices; but this is only because they have such a good profit on their goods that they can afford to keep the in-store price the same while the price to manufacture it goes up.
As for the future president, I dislike all 3 candidates. I actually dislike our political system as a whole. Our interests are no longer represented by our congressmen; it's a money game; it's "all about the benjamins". The government is too large, our many frivolous taxes way too high, and your vote really does not count.
If I had to pick one, I would have to say Hillary Clinton. I have looked at all 3 candidates stances on important issues. Clinton and Obama have essentially the same answers on most issues. I only favor Clinton because she has a plan for wihtdrawal from Iraq, and has some experience compared to Obama. Obama, on the other hand, really hasn't brought anything to the table. I also don't understand why so many people despise Clinton; and when I ask why, the answer is generally somewhere along the lines of "She's a Democrat!" or "Dude she's like a man". I have yet to receive an intelligent answer as to why Hillary is a bad choice compared to Obama or Mccain.
If I could pick any of the past 08 presidential candidates, it would definitely be Ron Paul. He is the only candidate who really values the constitution and realizes that our country needs a change. Yes, some of his ideas may seem screwy, but on the whole he is a great choice compared to others.
