Money is worthless know. But paper money was actually backed by gold and shit. So like look at it like the stock market. The buisness are the gold. The paper slips means you own alittle of that gold. It was baiscally a note saying you had owner ship of some gold. It is alot more convient to carry paper around instead of thigns of gold.
