It is F8 on most computers. And I don't think you're talking about the same thing, Palm3r. When you're on Safe Mode, there are no computer-administrated firewalls, since it's in diagnostic mode. Nothing runs but necessary components.

I just deleted Microsoft from my computer (replaced it with Kubuntu), so I can't physically prove you wrong. But, I will tell you that pressing F1 during startup does nothing to the operating system. CMOS deals with the computer itself. Sure, you can put a BIOS or a HDD password on your computer, but you cannot password protect the administrator account unless you get a raw copy of XP and choose not to create any accounts.

(they are made from like 1-20 Letters, alpha-numeric, alpha-numeric-symbol and so on) These a F***** Big files so it would be an idea to make them, mine are NTLM 1-15 letters alpha-numeric-symbol (547GB) yes thats right 547GB and LM 1-8 alpha-numeric-symbol 200gb
and download Ophcrack!!!

Ophcrack:
Ophcrack retrieves the S.A.M file from the computer and then slowly loads the rainbow files to crack
Ophcrack Live CD
Now this is used when you are i a situation where u don't have any password, there for you cant log in, sam file saved to a flash drive, or other portable unit to crack the files at another computer.

THE RAINBOW TABLES\ Files
my rainbow files have a 99.989 percent chance of getting the password, also the larger they are the more percentage of getting the password.

the rainbow files contain trillions of combinations (its a faster version of Damn Brute Forcing) Op crack goes through all of those trillions of combinations within a few minutes, (the larger the rainbow file, longer its gonna take) and finds the passwords.

This is the way to go if u are patient enough to make them.. he he he

the vast majority of windows passwords are so easily cracked that you shouldnt need rainbow tables...the algorithm used is very very very very poor.

while rainbow tables MAY help, using a good wordlist would be better,and bruteforcing wont take long either.

there are advantages to rainbow tables--but not in cracking windows passwords, they're not well enough encrypted for it to be worth the time generating the table.

didn't read the whole thread, but here's how I do it::

Get into safe mode by accessing bios, or accessing Windows XP version boot and selecting 'safe mode' (No command prompt or networking needed)

Then go into accoutns.. you can remove the password to any account, or create a new ***** to access all files.. I did the ltter to all my office computers.

Simple and easy.. if you use the 'add a new account' then you should also hide that account from the login screen, done by altering some registry files (Private message me if you want me to tell you that bit, it takes longer to explain)

If they also have a Bios password for bootup (I have Bios bootup, XP pass, and file access passwords) then thats super easy to fix with physical access.

for that, open the case (Be careful, don't touch the circuits or cards or anything if you don't know what you're doing) and remove the little coin battery from the motherboard for about 10 seconds, maybe a minute. Put it back in and boot up, should be gone.
