What programs will run on Linux? anything you can compile or been precompiled for you distro.
If you looking for a windows OS thats not windows, Just stay with windows. If you want secure,free,fast and stable os choose a distro like Ubuntu.
Sure there is a larger user base for windows, what comes with every new computer bought from dell or gateway. So most users dont know anything about the open source or nix community. It amazes me how many people are moving to Linux and it not being preinstalled.

Yo, slowz. Some of the major companies are going to start to have Linux pre-installed. I think Dell was one of them.

i wouldnt let Dell install linux for me...i hate Dell...none of the Dells i have owned, and presently own are worth a shit... but i do like the idea...
