I've used Linux as my primary operating system for about six months now. Just last night I switched to XP to help out a friend (I was testing this upgrade to Vista to see if it would work on his computer). I personally enjoy the compatability of Vista as opposed to Linux.

Yeah, I know that 32-bit software will run on my hardware, I just like to take advantage of all 64-bits that I have. I've been considering switching to XP 64, but I don't think it's vista so much as the "64" part that is giving me troubles.

Every single person who says "I've got free Vista" has gotten their compilation in some way from these links. Some people try to break it up into 4 or 8 or 20 parts for ease of download, but it's still these links. So shut up on what you don't know about (which I did in the other thread).

Yeah, windows download is still saying I don't have a Genuine copy of vista.

Right now I'm running in safe mode thanks to trying to SLI a new card in, but I need a hotfix, apparently, to get it to work without crashing.

Yeah shut up on what you don't know about. Where... WHERE in my post did I say I discovered this personally? Nowhere. However, the entire guide was of my design. The only thing I used were the links directly from Microsoft! I'll admit, I took the crack, but only to enhance the userability of the operating system.

Well, that second crack may have worked, I just can't tell since I would have to boot into windows normally, and can't. What would really rock is if I could find the hotfix (KB936710) someplace that doesn't require me to validate to download it.
