The thing is I don't worry about things like that. I wipe my harddrive so often because of new operating systems and failed tests that I hardly have anything on my computer that I wouldn't mind losing if I got a virus or something. Anything important either goes on CDs or Gmail accounts. So, in that sense, my entire computer being is secure. Just a different kind of secure.

@saj ONCE AGAIN......ihbworihqobhewoighb3qoi......now what was that?......think about this logically.....i never said you were securing your computer for the sake of keeping people from damaging your files. how can you hope to be any good AT ALL with computers, if you disregard an aspect as important as security?. it doesnt matter if YOUR data is secure....it matters whether what you make, what you personally do with computers is secure, because if it's not, no one will ever want to run it (apart from such cases as DVL, which is designed with the express purpose of being exploitable

Of all people, I think I am one of the few people on this site that is exempt from a lecture about what hacking is... seeing as I've aspired to make a reputation as one to kick wannabe / skiddies asses.

Now, GODD (Cuddles) and I coded this from scratch. It was purpose made so that we could gain access to the administration panel account of a person whom we mutually disliked, and was using copyrighted branding of mine off of my company site.

Now, seeing that the vast majority of crimes online go unpunished, and almost certainly unnoticed... who (other than myself) is going to do shit to this little skiddie (no one, in case you couldn't guess).

BTW - "Real" Hacking is an ends to further ones knowledge and understanding of how something is put together and works. If I know that my kernel is vulnerable to remote code execution, then yes... i can patch that and make it less vulnerable. If i know how the login system of a site operates, I can use that to my advantage and protect my intellectual property (aka. what we were doing).

On a side note, maybe someone who doesn't care about learning more in reference to computers shouldn't be a hacking moderator...

It's just not something I've ever been interested in. I learn what interests me. Testing things is rather high up there. Destroying things is rather low. Occasionally I do learn destructive things, but mainly it's just things that interest me. And if you haven't noticed, while you may be the badass to end all badasses in terms of knowledge, I tend to help people more, using common sense, and not just "hackz0rz knowledge."
