Trojan Horse

I have Norton & AVG protection. Norton say I have no viruses, but yet AVG been stating I have a Trojan Horse Generic 9.BAFG & it won't let me move to vault, heal, etc. It say access to file been denied.
Bothersome not knowing, is this a problem? Is there a way to get rid of this?

find out were the viruse is located. a lot of times the virus is easily removed simply by getting the location of it and deleting the file. its prolly gonna be in your registry.

HA
no
sorry
that's not how viruses work
you're...hmm...how best to describe this.......ok, you know how when you get herpes, you can take medicine to suppress signs of it?...that's pretty much what you've just done....it wont be gone, and chances are it'll come back the moment you reboot

trust me, it'd be a LOT smarter to actually look up how someone else removed the virus.

Thank you for the valuable comment flame.
I have this type of problem also. Different download mangers say i have either no viruses or a virus called "downloader". However, the filepath doesn't exist. I've ignored it for a year. Nothing has happened to me. I enter credit info and i havent had any trouble with fraud either. so whatever. Google is always your friend.

I use Avast! cirus, it's much better. Isolate the file, I like to archive them, make sure it's only in the archive, and then transfer the thing to CD, and I don't mean copy, I mean TRANSFER. Then, crack the disk. =P

Just an idea. But seriously, archive and recycle bin.

well this seemed to work pretty good for me. but if you find out as much about the virus as possible im sure you can google it and find the proper steps to remove it permanently.

Very much thank you Massiggy, little over my head, actually I wrote it down because it flew over my head really fast..... My son & I both have Trojans, hum.... wonder if he sharing?
Puppet, the antivirus will not allow me to see details.
I'd still like to go thru the router & explore what the heck Linxys? Do we really need to know what linxys? Was that a stupid question? My sons computer is so messed up & I spend many hours, ready to trash!
