Ram

Some time in December i've gotten new RAM for my old Dell.
Back then, I installed it and when I turned my PC back on
And checked my system information, the number of MBs had not moved
I've ignored it up untill now, because it has been bugging me lately.
About 10 minutes ago I took everything apart, and re-installed it
Nothing.
Help?

Is one of the chips DDR and the other SD ram? If so that could be the problem.

Is there a number on the card? You can type in the number on google and the information for it will come up, or check the chip and there usually is a sticker or it's "Stamped" on it 128,256,512 SD or DDR and so on.

Lmfao, just take it out of the computer and take a close look, if not look up the specs for your computer on google or dell website, and where ever you got the ram chip ask or if it came in a package read the package.

Okay, I looked, and there wasnt any SD or DDR on there
But
When I replaced the old one with just the new one
Instead of Having them both in
My Computer Just Beeped, and Did Nothing.
I'm Assuming that means I have the wrong RAM.
