TiBook Pro wide-screen triple-booting OSX, Win XP and Red Hat.

Custom-built desktop currently featuring a piece of shit intel mobo, PIII 933Mhz processor and ATI Radeon 9850, overclocked, 2Gb DDR ram and about 800Gb of effective HDD space. Rig is a test bed for a high-performance self-sufficient armoured and hardened system I'm building - No point sticking in good components until I know it can withstand an EMP. Featuring positive-pressure waterproof, shockproof and (nearly) bombproof magnesium alloy frame, carbon fibre inert structural components; Magnetic power (just affix the power clamp anywhere on the outside power region - No plugs or pins necessary!). Closed-circuit passive heatpipe cooling and HEPA-filtered ducted inlets (servo-actuated iris seals - spiral open when system is powered up, when power is lost solenoids snap them shut and seal the computer from the outside world). Side panel folds down, to reveal a barebones TFT monitor, and keyboard built-in to panel. Have not yet decided on mouse, do not like trackpads/balls and am probably jsut gonna run a USB port there.

When it's complete, it'll be running a nice asus mainboard, dual AMD quad core 64-bit procs, each probably 3 or 4 gHz, 4Gb of DDR3 ram, 2Tb RAID And 25Gb Solid State non-volatile operating system disk; gigabit ethernet as well as satellite and wifi; and most likely a pair of SLIs; or maybe 4 if I can get the cash together.

This will be the computer which outlasts the apocalypse.

Unfortunately there will be nothing you can do, if nobody else's computers last through the apocalypse :P.

that SSD must have cost a little bit.... average price for a Gb of SSD space is $8. And a lot of that stuff is just excessive ... really excessive.

-The First Computer-

Lol that thing sucks harder then paris hilton after 2 beers.

a P3 933mhz!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh my god, I think you could run PACMAN on that piece of crap!!!

And dude, anything that old, it doesnt support the ram.

And why the hell would you want it bomb protected. What the fuck do you use your computer for >_>.......

-Second Computer-
Okay this in particular is pretty funny. You wanna buy a processor that runs at "3ghz or 4ghz" Listen bud, THEY DONT EVEN HAVE A 4GHZ Processor out yet.. Thats pretty sad, and I thought you knew everything... lol.. boy was I wrong. But you have one thing right, and thats the choice of AMD...

Anyhow, I would save up for something like this.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819103866
your going to need two of these......

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813131146

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820144079

and to finish it off..... youll need 3 of these bad boys, and do a triple crossfire setup...

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814103044

And not to mention a water cooled setup, and whatever you want, Cuz if I had 24ghz, I'd see if I could do a 250mhz each core... Imagine the possibilities.....But this whole setup would cost 4-6grand depending on what you put in it.... just trying to help, oh and you could put your bomb shelter around it...

I'm pretty sure they have 3Ghz and 4Ghz in Asia. And if not, just create your own little super computer.

Sun Microsystems has a 20Ghz processor out already... so yes, that technology _does_ exist.

And you're right, looks aren't everything... but why look at a dull gray box all day when for nearly the same money you can have something a little more aesthetically pleasing?

Dont be fucking retarded.

Ok look, The fastest core available on the market is from intel and its like 3.5ghz or so. I havent seen or even heard about a 4ghz single core. Anyhow Iskhur you retard. The computer I posted, if you made it, it would be a dual quad core 3ghz. Now if take 3 times 4 which is 12, then you do times two, its. its... 24?!!?, Of course they have a 20ghz system out, but they dont have a single core 20ghz processor, they dont exsist in this day in age.

So no, that technology_doesn't_EXIST. But tbh, I care less about the looks on my computer.

Another note, AJ, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819117046

Thats the fastest single core processor out in this day of age, its 3.6ghz. Not 4. And I know asia doesnt have one, trust me, i would of found out by now.

And by making one you would have to overclock it....

Clearly you know nothing about using unix.

And dude, anything that old, it doesnt support the ram.
Wrong, clearly.

And why the hell would you want it bomb protected. What the fuck do you use your computer for >_>.......
It contains about 40Gb of solid information on explosives, bio and chemical warfare. it's one of the biggest such repositories in the world. So I want it to last.
