A friend of one of my mates has made a program for mobile phones so that when you call/message from your mobile phone it changes your number to any number you want when it is displayed on their screen.

Do any of you guys know how to do this?

I mean more like when you call on your cell, the number that the recieve on their screen is a number that you choose, so your number never comes up. When the call is traced it will be traced back to the number you chose and not your own.


You can cause some messy shit, and i know it can be done, i just dont know how.

i don't actually know, but if i had to guess, i would say that it is a program on the phone which re-writes the phone registry information. not necessarily the actual base registry, but the information that it sends out.


oh, and since nobody else pointed it out. in the title you misspelled the word "mobile." In the professional world, if you were to turn in a report with a misspelling in the title, you wouldn't ever be taken seriously. Obviously this isn't that world, but still a lesson learned.

What kind of phone was in use? It may just be on higher-class phones like Blackberries, etc.

that's a good point. For a cell phone to be programmable it would have to be more than your basic phone. Unless your mate's friend is just that smart. But i doubt it. It probably requires any phone that is labeled a "smart phone."

Working for sprint & AT&T its simple if u can hack.. get routing numbers change the (ESN) of the phone to who evers phone u wanted to be routed to an it uses there min's not yours and can only be traced to the routing number (which in reminder is not yours)!

And the answer to how is if u can hack any carriers forums you will find a "compliance" list. There you will find routing numbers, lock codes, mdn's, and also msid's. then the fun starts! its a little complicated but it can be done. The hardest aprt is amtching a routing nucmber, msid, and mdn, together. But 9 time's out of ten htere all in a sequence pattern so....
