does anyone know of a program that will randomize or change my IP address
temporarily (thanks i know what a proxy is).

ghostsurf might. I also once heard of a program called ghost IP. You could also manually assign a valid IP through the properties panel of the connection.

torrents are always free. Plus setting your ip to a static one then setting it another one, then setting it to dynamic assignment should get your job done.

Your only going to get what IP lease your isp allows, Some allow you to renew your lease and some dont. So a proxy is about the only way your going to get a "random" ip. For example if you isp owns the netblock 22.22.22.0/255 you cant get a ip in the 23.0.0.0 range.

Yeah, just realized that what I laid out might work at a network level, but not an isp level. my bad.

there is a simple way to change you ip either going to your start menu and typeing in ipconfig /release click ok,and then when your computer is done executeing the file type in ipconfig /renew and click ok and wait for that to exeute as well,and it will change your ip or you could make a .bat fail (batch file) with the following commands,save it as .bat file,file type all files,and the open it and it will change ip (make a name for the file ex: whatever.bat

pyromaniac... shut up. That only works if you have a dynamic IP address (obviously something this kid doesn't).

do it manually.....mask your ip..... it's how i got online through comcast with my mum's laptop ip
