lol. very true.
My school uses Novell, Fortres, and their webfilter is some webwasher/bess proxy thing...
I tried the default password for Fortres, (fortres101xp) the techie was too dumb to change the password, so I got in...
I got the administrator password by looking around teachers computers, and in their desks and whatnot.
I suppose it would also be possible to use ophcrack, but I didn't try it. I didn't want to leave something for someone to find. (I believe they can track you pretty well on Novell. Our computer policy is pretty strict here...instant suspension for messing with computers in ways not becoming of a "Learning Environment...)
As for the webfilter, a good proxy always helps, but they get blocked all the time. You can also go to google, and use the "cache" option. This won't help with games or pages you log into, but it will let you view text and whatnot.
And last but not least, I downloaded Orbit downloader at home to get all the flashgames and youtube movies I wanted, and saved them to a flash drive. There is no way the school can guard against that, unless they take your flashdrive.
I hope that helped.
And Twisted, You didn't have to apologize, I should have read the whole post, not just responses.
