Talking Easier way.

Well this is the way I do it... and I think this only works on Windows XP because I haven't tried it on any of the old windows OS's yet.

1.) Boot up the computer.

2.) Wait until the Windows XP load screen comes on.

3.) Restart the computer by holding in the power button.

4.) Turn the computer back on.

5.) It should give you the options of safe mode and stuff like that.

6.) Boot it up in safe mode.

7.) Hopefully there isn't a password for the ***** account.

8.) Log in and create a new login acccount.

9.) Do whatever the hell you want.

:-)

3 days since last post is considered dead?

Anyway... lets say the network is designed to log all file actions and send them to the ***** ASAP, would there be a way to stop that log from getting there?

You could just hold F8 when you boot it up. But every computer has a set Administrator's password, so there's no point and it's not even worth trying.

Yes there would be, due to the fact that the network does not keep log of local computer activities.

So basically you're saying that, as long as nobody is watching, there is no way for anyone to know that i, or anyone, has taken that file?

Edit: Sorry, "copied" that file

Edit2: So how exactly did you get caught? Did they catch you on the ***** account or something?

oh wow, i thought this was a very different topic....i guess that's what happens when the topic is essentially a repeat.....

and yeeeah, keith, you're wrong. if you're connected to a school network, chances are you're being watched. the only way they wouldnt know you're on the ***** account on that computer is if you disconnected from the network. they wouldnt know if you accessed the sam files or not, tho, because that IS local. but the moment you come back and log on to the ***** account, assuming you're on the network, they would or at least, should know

I'm trying this with elive liveCD and when i booted from the CD my computer tech guy came up in a matter of minutes and came directly to my computer. he seemed to think something was wrong with it but noticed that it was fine and walked away. Does a notification get sent to him when i boot from the CD? I don't know how he knew which computer it was and he came over to me pretty fast like he knew what was going on. If there is no notification I'll continue trying to get the pass.

ill say it agian--if you connect to the network without an account, it will (if at all set up well) send up a flag.

but do as you will, the fact that you're not expelled probably means they dont give a shit what you do.
