Cuddles, what may not be a programming language to you may be a world of opportunity to others.

I started writing in C++ for a while. My friend crafted a fairly neat program in it that would seek out the core files in Windows 98 or XP (don't remember which) and would hash them.

While he proceeded to go into more depth, I meandered into manual worming and such. I haven't created any particularly malicious programs, however, I *have* thrashed a computer a good one.

In any case, I am curious as to how to create the infection and replication process that a virus maintains. I mostly program in C these days. I don't have any particular target, just plain ol' curiosity.

Any tips, guide, FAQ, or book references are always helpful.
