I had windows and linux running back to back. I didn't want to install windows again so i just stated linux. dumbass...

no shit.you were looking at porn,or at least thats the only time ive heard of needing the activex bullshit.NEVERdownload that shit.and yes ive done that one time on an old computer and noticed a ton of viruses.and by the sound of it you need a better anti-virus/trojan program.

and every time you install that program it just keeps installing viruses.so run your virus scanner and it will or at least attempt to locate the virus.you may need to un-hide your folders to find them though.

Turns out about 7,000,000 computers in the usa have the same virus along with others; not to mention it was virus day yesterday...
