this i understand, with winxp, it has this extra feature which seems to be built in that allows you to just drag and drop files to a temporary folder that it calls a cd writer drive for some reason, and hit the write files to cd button, but you cant do that with an iso.....although you probably dont have a dvd r drive...idiot

nah, he said that he did use a real ISO buring app. If he used it right, i dont know. I did tell him about a very creditable burning app, so he should have been able to burn it IF he had a DVD+/-R Burner.

If i can remeber right Windows has a 4G file size limit. Im sure if this is true the knoppix forum has some info about it

4G limit? That sux ass! Well, my laptop and desktop both say they have two cd drives and the second one won't go away. Apparently neither can correctly burn iso images now. Fuck it, I'm just gonna install an older KNOPPIX cd I have. It's version 3.4 and the newest one out right now is 5.1.1, so it's pretty old. But hey, better than nothing.

When you say windows has a 4 gb limit you should say which ver. And it would be an older ver of windows if it were true. I have burned 8gb with win xp and it was a iso.

give me the link i will give it a try i need a newer ver of knoppix anyway. the iso file should have a word or html file along with it with instructions in it.

fat16 has a 2 gig file size limit, fat32 has a 4 gig file size limit, ntfs has no file size limit that i have been aware of....
