All you have to do... is make an electro magnetic field that lasts for a very short time, and voila you have an EMP. This can be done just by wrapping coil of wire round an iron core.... like you did at school, connecting it up and making a shitty electromagnet that you can trigger to last for a verY short time. However, to make a useful emp (im guessing you want to short out a load of stuff) you either need to upscale this massively, and i mean MASSIVELY, using riddiculous voltages and loads of huge capicators (the method i know). Oh yeah, the other option ( i know), detonate a nuke.... might be a bit difficult though lol.

how the fuck, does coding have anything to do with the production of an emp generator? -i have been toying with ideas of emp devices for quite some time but have yet to put together anything that yielded any desired results. nothing ever needed to code tho....why? i'd like to hear some good ideas.
