no no wait, what if you got that air setting clay, pulled it out, then pushed it into a key mould and take it to like a keymaker shop and get him to make a copy of the key, then you can use the key to open it up, cant you?

No, If some fucking how you managed to actually push the clay in the lock and make a coppy of of the cavity in there you still wouldnt know how the pins would have to be pushed. And Even if the idea worked it would still be way too much fucking work for pop. Go to howstuffworks and find lock picking.

yea you would know how they have to be pushed because it fills in that cavity, therefore making a copy of "how the pins need to be pushed" its kinda hard to explain... soz

NO. When you slide a correct key into a lock, the *****s push the pins into the exact correct positions so that you can unlock or lock the door. An incorrect key would push the pins in an incorrect distance, disallowing you to lock or unlock the door.
Now, if you were to fill the lock with putty or whatever, you'd pull out a straight-edged key. Why? Because no pins have been pushed.
Make sense?
