ok so the origanal idea was......

1. get a tube that is air tight
2. fill it with match heads.
3. drill a hole in the top and stick a fuse in the top.
4. light it and get away.

wells if you want a laugh or a good video to show your friend screaming like a girl do wat i did .......

1. get a pill bottle.
2. fill it with match heads . (all the way to the top or it wont work)
3. stand back.
4. have your friend throw a match in the tube .(with no top)
5. tell him it will just smoke realy big . (he will believe you trust me)
6. when he throws the match in the tube get away becouse flaming matcheads are going to shoot out of the top!!!!!!!!!

How would using a metal pipe be stupid?
It wouldn't rupture from matches.
The only other thing is cardboard tube. Which requires rolling and glueing. There for, you could assume metal pipe would be the first choice.
