I was thinking of making a mini grenade type thing, so I was wondering if any of you know if my idea will work. I dont want it fucking up and shooting me

Well heres my idea, you get a empty tin gun shell, put a suitable wick in it, have it sticking out a little bit. then pack 3/4's of it with black powder, and cover it with tissue paper or somthing like that. then glue it closed with a hot glue gun

One of my friends helped me think of this idea, and he was thinking it would shoot shrapnel out everywhere, do you think it would?

hmm....maybe...depends on the bullet size.....black powder's not the best explosive to use for a grenade, as it detonates with a blast strength that is fairly close to it's size.....i'd use something like c4 or something of the like.....bigger boom, smaller explosive......of course, the most likely scenario is that the bottom will blow outta the gun shell....

I really wish I had modship, because N2O is pretty absent and this shit needs to be cleaned up.

Chuck, that should work but not black powder. black powder isnt really good for making stuff "shatter". its better for "lauching" things. eg:a orange gun or a mortar. not to say black powder wont work but you want something along the lines of flash powder or similar. Good luck with it and tell me how it goes.

Ok, you take the empty gun shell, put some GP/BP on top of the primer, then fill it with nitrocellulose, the more the better (it sets off "better", with more N2, it its compressed). Then just glue the shell tight with epoxy glue. If you hit the blasting cap, the grenade will go off.

chuck take a can about the size of a soup can, put a container about the size of the used cardbord toilet paper roll thing inside of that run a fuse down it and pack it very tighly with flash powder,black powder, a chlorate sugar mixture anthing u can come up. then fill the empty area(area around explosive or propelant/inside can)with nuts bolts bbs whatever u have. close the top making sure that the fuse is sticking out then u have ur self a make ship frag grenade.
BE VERY CAREFUL do not throw it near any one and take cover. use no less than a 5 second fuse to the charge
