Because a tooth pick is a fuse no one sees coming. If it weren't for the fact that it would extinguish before igniting a detonator, it would actually be a fairly good idea for a covert fuse.

i find it easy just to light a paper match on fire and let it burn down..

if u dont have any saltpetre u can take some string soak it in gasoline and let it dryout. make sure its all the way dry or u might be fucked.

Pshtttt its simple.....Yea i tried it and it sucked. It burnt way to slow....But it did go. But theres Better way that Burn alot faster

I think buying fuse(whatever various flavour) would be a bit simpler than coating a tooth pick in wax, not to mention more reliable.
