i love science, it is the basis of philosophy (or mine atleast)....of course, it's gonna take so goddamn long to get that unified theory....string theory is interesting, but i dont think enough people consider it for it to make an impact.....

depends on who defines sound, the generalized definition of sound is what you hear, but really, it's the release of energy thru vibrations at wavelengths, which of course it does when we're not there....we are not what defines the universe, the universe is what defines us.....i could go into the concept of whether we create the universe, or the universe creates us, but i could be driven to schizophrenia because of it, and im already close enough....so meh!....im not going into a trance either.......

If you read Popper or Kuhn, you will see that the grand unifying theory is the most un-scientific notion to come across science.

Science is based on always building on others ideas. A grand unifying theory would appear to "end" science forever, but we all know that can't happen, because in an inifinte universe, "knowing everything" is an impossibility.

altho it's pointless to even consider it cuz there really is no way to understand the universe, as it is infinite, which means it must be both infinitely small and infinintely big, and we have already decided on what we think is the smallest form of...well anything, so we cant really study it seriously.....
